A small engineering team, deliberately.
DEL Studio is set up so that the people who scope a system are the people who build it. There is no account layer between you and the engineers.
What we do
We design and write software systems: platforms that customers use, applications that staff use, automation that replaces manual steps, and refactoring work on codebases that have become expensive to change.
The technical range is deliberately narrow. Web and server systems, relational databases, integrations with the services a business already pays for. We are not a general consultancy and we do not staff out developers by the month.
How we work with clients
- Every engagement starts with a free audit or a scoping phase before any build is quoted.
- Scope is written down before work begins, including what is not included.
- You own the repository, the cloud accounts, the domains and the data. We work inside your accounts, not ours.
- One engineering contact. No status meetings that exist only to fill a slot.
A good fit
- A fragile system that is risky to change or repeatedly fails in production
- A manual business process held together by spreadsheets, copying and repeated checks
- A platform with performance, data-integrity or access-control problems
- A carefully scoped new platform or structured second version
Not a fit
- Template-only websites or low-budget brochure sites
- One-off hourly bug fixes without a defined outcome
- General staff augmentation or developers supplied by the month
A new studio, stated plainly
DEL Studio is new and does not yet have past clients, case studies or testimonials. We will not invent them or imply that illustrative examples are completed work.
Our commitment is straightforward: understand the problem carefully, define the work honestly, and do our best for every client while making technical decisions visible.
Illustrative scenarios — not past work
- Example: three conflicting data models. We would first map ownership and invariants, identify contradictory records, then design a staged migration with checks and a rollback path.
- Example: manual invoice reconciliation. We would document each source and exception, make every operation repeat-safe, and keep failures visible for human review.
Five specialist engineers, no middlemen
DEL Studio is five engineers trained at MIT and in Barcelona and Milan. Each of us leads one discipline: APIs and distributed systems; databases and query performance; frontend and complex interfaces; security and access control; automation and integrations. Your project gets a specialist on every layer instead of one generalist stretched across all of them.
We are a new studio. We have no past clients to show you yet, which is why we put our reasoning on the page and give the audit away: you can judge the work before you pay for any of it.
DEL Studio on LinkedIn →- The engineers who scope your project are the ones who build it. No sales layer, no hand-off to juniors.
- Every piece of work is reviewed by a second engineer from a different speciality.
- You talk to the people writing the code, in English, Spanish, French or German.
What you get that a typical agency doesn't give you
A general comparison of how engagements usually work, so you can decide what matters to you.
| DEL Studio | Typical agency | Solo freelancer | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who you talk to | The engineers building it | Account manager | The developer |
| Before you pay | Free written audit of your system | Sales call and proposal | Quote |
| Review | Every change reviewed by a second specialist | Varies by team | Usually none |
| Ownership | Repositories, hosting and accounts set up in your name | Often on the agency's accounts | Varies |
| Handover | Documentation and a walkthrough so anyone can continue | Extra cost or none | Often none |
| Price | Fixed scope, agreed in writing before work starts | Hourly or retainer | Hourly |
